Fast, flexible mobile internet that works

Kalaida is comprised of three elements:

• KalaidaNotifier
  A configuration of the Kalaida platform that aggregates web data services; specifically e-mail, instant messaging, News Feeds (RSS) or Social Networks.
• KalaidaVoice
  An optional patent-pending platform node that allows the operator to bring Internet voice as well as data services to market. This platform currently powers the acclaimed Skypephone and Skype service that has been a core offering of the Hutchison ‘3′ group of operators across eight markets since 2006.
• KalaidaLive
  The unique iSkoot technology that manages the interaction between the mobile device user interface and the Kalaida platform. This KalaidaLive middleware offers the operator the maximum flexibility; rapid portation to all prevalent device platforms to support a broad coverage strategy; deep stack integration for a branded ‘hero device’ allowing rapid product placement, or via an SDK, the ability to open the UI design to an operator, handset ODM, web brand or any external UI design house.

  Kalaida offers the greatest possible choice to the operator to identify and address new value segments in the saturated mobile markets.

Kalaida allows the operator to approach a web brand, agree commercials and on receipt of their APIs launch their service with minimal testing overhead and little or no user or network impact.

  Kalaida supports a convenient single sign on experience. The user is no longer required to enter the user names and passwords for each service at each login. Instead, the carrier user name and password becomes the master login to all services, enabling a truly differentiated mobile Internet experience — turn on your phone and all your services come to life…easier than the PC.
• A ‘Live’ Connection
  Kalaida delivers service immediacy and data efficiency, buffering non-time critical information and delivering a batch once an important notification comes though. Notification alerts give the user the experience of instantaneous service even over a 2.5G connection.
• ‘Single Socket’, Single Client
  An optimized connection reduces data overhead and cost; one client instead of many frees up sockets and extends battery life. Most importantly it also reduces the handset specifications, reducing customer acquisition costs and opening the services to the mass market.
• Carrier Friendly
  Our patent-pending voice solution uses a circuit switched connection between the mobile device and the Internet VoIP port — driving traditional revenues and avoiding ‘over the top’ disintermediation. Push notifications also serve as a call to action for many mobile phone users to make a phone call or send a text, again stimulating traditional revenues.
• Superior Architecture to Support New Services
  Consolidating the service logic and subscriber data on the Kalaida platform offers excellent opportunities to build new services.
